We have also ventured into manufacturing camphor tablets , which has received a positive response which we believe has been possible only because of the goodwill and faith of consumers that we have earned. Camphor is used for its scent, as an ingredient in cooking, as an embalming fluid, for medicinal purposes and in religious ceremonies. It is used in India from ancient time when religions like Buddhism and Jainism flourished. Camphor is used as an alternative to mothballs. Camphor crystals are sometimes used to prevent damage to insect collections by other small insects. The smoke of camphor crystal or camphor incense sticks can be used as an environmentally – friendly mosquito repellent. Camphor is also used as an antimicrobial substance. In embalming, camphor oil was one of the ingredients used by ancient Egyptians for mummification. Camphor is widely used in Hindu religious ceremonies. It is put on a stand called ‘karpur dāni’ in India. Aarti is performed after setting fire to it usually as the last step of puja. As we have only recently launched this product (camphor) and looking at the response it has received has only led us to firmly believe in our values of dedication and honesty in our work.
Incense sticks or Agarbatti in India are an important part of the daily ritual, religious offering and Puja. India is the largest producer of incense in the world and a healthy exporter to other Asian countries. Incense is used for aesthetic reasons, aromatherapy, meditation and ceremony. Incense sticks, also known as Agarbathi or Agarbatti and joss sticks, in which an incense paste is rolled or moulded around a bamboo stick, are the main forms of incense in India. The bamboo method originated in India and is distinct from the Nepali/Tibetan and Japanese methods of stick making without bamboo cores. The basic ingredients are the bamboo stick, the paste (generally made of charcoal dust and gum powder – an adhesive made from the bark of trees) and the perfume ingredients – which would be a masala (spice mix) powder of ground ingredients into which the stick would be rolled or a perfume liquid sometimes consisting of synthetic ingredients into which the stick would be dipped. We have recently adopted a more advanced technology for the manufacture and packaging of our product.
